Task 3: Two-Person Dialogue Sequence ANIMATION

In this sequence we were suppose to create a two-person dialogue sequence for the 11 second club. Which required to create portray the mood, personality and relationship of the two characters
through their acting performance, facial expression and body language.

After getting the audio from the 11second club with the help of my friend i did video shooting from the Green screen studio for my concept. It was a nice experience to see different ideas for the same dialogues.  Siobhan Fenton guided us for the acting skills. And had given some good suggestion and comments.

The dialogue given was from an old movie. By hearing this dialogue according to me the character could be funny and straight forward guy. So i planned to make the conversation between a servant and a landlord. And i made the situation in the dining table where the landlord is drinking coffee and the servant is standing to explain his innocents.

By the help of video reference i started to do blocking and animation.

After getting the feedback the finally completed my task 3 animation successfully.

Task 2: MIME ANIMATION

This task was very new for me.I have never tried mime in my life time but this is the nice task which brings a wide idea about mime . While i was searching for the concept for this task, i saw Marcel Marceau's stage show of mime and i was impressed by the way how he delivered the concept which he really wants to tell and its very easy to understand what he doing on the stage . So i decided to take a small concept of Marcel for my mime task

Even though i selected the concept of Marcel i planed to do the mime in my style so i started to collect  many information about mime and the ideas which all shared by my tutor was also given me hands to start my mime animation .

The concept is about a server and the customer. I planned to make dual performance by a single character, means a single character will be performing as server and customer

In order to start my first step for the mime animation, i have drawn the storyboard and sketches for the concept which i took and this is the story board which i had created for the mime animation

In further i planned to do this mime in four shots and started doing the blocking with my own reference.

In the first shot i introducing the character which is going to perform the mime on the stage. In this shot he is getting ready to serve for the customer.

In the second shot he walks to the place where the customer will be seated .

In the third shot he will start to serving the food.

In the forth shot the customer is reacting for the food and he will struggle to handle the food and finally he will  taste it

After getting feedbacks from my friend  i added some more stuffs which gives better look  to my animation .In addition to this i planned to add music to this file which gives a smooth touch to the mime .
This is my final output for the task 2

Acting for Animation:Objective, Action + Obstacle: Going up the Stairs

This task was pretty good and different. The concept for my upstairs climbing animation was based on a cleaner. First shot starts with the character mopping the floor near to a stairs. A fire extinguisher is kept near to him attached to the wall.  He will smell something and will think for a while and leave it. Suddenly fire alarm goes on. Character will get tensed and looks all around, down and up of stairs. By taking the fire extinguisher he will run through the stairs.ence
However, Their was a shooting session for us to help in animation to get reference. We had done it in groups by helping each other by hearing their ideas and shooted from different camera angles.Video references have helped very much in my animation.

As planned in the upstairs climbing animation concept i created a storyboard, which had contained more detailed idea for the same animation by adding extra parts. A good storyboard has a great role in making a good animation , so i tried to make a fine storyboard. As far as i feel, i have achieved in doing it.

I had divide by shots into five to make it more easier to animate. And i did my blocking stage for the animation as first step.
In first shot character is mopping near to a stairs, a pleasant expression in his face. He is using a mop stick as props.

In the next shot he smells something and will think for a moment. Then starts working again, he is least bothered about it, again concentrating on his work.

Third shot is an important one.As fire alarm, objective, goes ringing  character gets confused. This shot contains actions for this task, he will run towards the stairs will look down once then  up with it he will drop the mop stick.

Forth shot is picking of fire extinguisher, his motivation is to rescue. And final in fifth shot he is running through the stairs with fire extinguisher in his hand.   Though i completed my animation for upstairs climbing, their where many changes that has to be done as instructed  by tutor. I modified mainly the run and obstacles.   This is my final output for the first task.Feedback from Siobhan Fenton and Penny Holton had really helped in the development of this task
